Talk to Us! Vikings Training Camp Oral History Project

The University Archives is partnering with the Blue Earth County Historical Society to collect and present the 50 year history of Vikings Training Camp in Mankato during the summer of 2015.

Archives and Library staff will be out every day during Vikings Training Camp, July 27-August 13, 2015, to capture oral histories from Vikings fans. We will be recording 2-3 minute videos and have a set of questions fans can choose to answer. A sample of these questions include:
  • How many Vikings Training Camps have you attended?
  • What is your favorite memory?
  • What are you looking forward to this year?

There will also be an option to participate in the project by submitting a written piece if fans would like to share a Vikings Training Camp story or write a short answer to one of our questions.
